ChatKeep is a browser extension that helps you organize AI chat conversations and create mind maps. This policy explains what information the extension handles, why it handles it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Handle

  • Selected content. When you explicitly ask ChatKeep to create a mind map, the extension processes only the text or other content you selected for that request. This content may include chat messages or other website content.
  • Organization data. ChatKeep may store folders, tags, preferences, and interface state in your browser so your organization choices persist.
  • Generated mind maps. If you choose to save a generated result, ChatKeep may store it locally in your browser.

2. How We Use Information

We use selected content only to provide the feature you requested: generating a mind map. ChatKeep does not collect content merely because you visit a supported website; mind-map processing occurs only after you initiate the action.

3. Sharing with Service Providers

To generate a mind map, the selected content is sent over HTTPS to the AI or API service configured for the feature. That provider processes the content only as needed to return your requested result. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to ChatKeep's functionality.

4. Data Retention

ChatKeep stores organization data and any results you choose to keep locally in your browser. Selected content is not retained by ChatKeep's servers after the mind-map request is completed. The applicable AI or API provider may process data according to its own privacy policy.

5. Your Choices

You control when selected content is sent for mind-map generation. You can remove local ChatKeep data through the extension's settings, your browser's extension data controls, or by uninstalling the extension.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for data sent to the mind-map service and take reasonable measures to protect information handled by ChatKeep. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when ChatKeep's features or data practices change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
